In my process with clients as well as in my personal inner work, I draw deeply from Jungian Depth Psychology to help explore and make sense of life.
This approach resonates with me because it values the complexity of the human spirit and sees healing as a journey of self-discovery.
Here’s a glimpse into how I integrate this into what I do:
- Dream Work: I work with the rich language of dreams, helping uncover symbols and messages that come from the unconscious. Dreams have a way of offering guidance and clarity when we need it most. Or as Freud called them – they are the royal road to the unconscious. For example, a client repeatedly dreamed of a vast, turbulent ocean. As we explored together, she came to understand it as a symbol of unresolved emotional currents in their life. This realization allowed her to process these emotions and find greater calm.
- Individuation: I see life as a process of becoming whole, embracing every part of ourselves, even those we’ve forgotten or overlooked. Especially those! Individuation is a profound path toward authenticity and balance.
- Shadow Work: Together, we explore the shadow, those hidden parts of ourselves that often play out in our relationships in strange and often confusing ways. By facing the shadow, we can uncover transformative insights and find deeper harmony with ourselves and others. Someone discovering that their frequent conflicts stem from unacknowledged feelings of inadequacy, which they project onto others. By working through this, we can gain a deeper sense of self-worth and improve our relationships.
- Fairytales and Myths: I love weaving these timeless stories into my work. They hold a wealth of wisdom and can be a mirror for the struggles and triumphs we face in our own lives.
- Working with Images and Dreams: Through creative exploration of images and dreams, we tap into layers of meaning and insight that words alone can’t always capture.

This work is deeply meaningful because it taps into the heart of what it means to be human, embracing the complexity, contradictions, and mystery within us all. Jungian Depth Psychology provides a framework to explore the unconscious and bring hidden aspects of ourselves into the light. It honors the individuality of each person, celebrating their unique path to wholeness.
For me, it’s about witnessing transformation. There’s something profoundly moving in watching someone gain clarity, integrate parts of themselves they once rejected, and step into their authenticity. It’s not just about “fixing” problems-it’s about growth, healing, and rediscovering purpose.
Helping someone decode the language of their dreams, confront their shadow, or find themselves in a myth or story, it’s like unlocking a door to their inner world. Every time this happens, it’s a powerful reminder of the beauty and resilience of the human spirit.
